Reports to: Department Supervisor
Location: Garden Grove, CA
Type: Full-Time
Schedule: 2nd Shift (3:30 pm–12 am)

Responsibilities
Mix and measure paint according to specifications.
Review work orders and confirm the mixed paint and part match before painting in booth.
Clean parts as per specification.
Paint parts according to specification and thickness.
Keep paint booth filters changed, booth FOD free, and complete paperwork.
Post paint inspection of parts for appearance and proper coverage.
Paint effectively on different surfaces and metals.
Adapt and meet complex or non‑routine situations with advanced skills.
Observe safety regulations and wear protective masks and clothing during spray painting operations.
Complete the paint daily checklist.
Properly utilize all PPE required under OSHA guidelines.
Maintain all paint equipment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills & Abilities
High school graduate or GED required.
1+ year of experience in aircraft painting.
Other Physical Requirements
Good vision (near and distance).
Can hear average conversations.
Good sense of touch.
Able to wear PPE (e.g., safety glasses).
Stand for long periods.

Compensation range $18.36 – $24.67 (DOE).

Work Environment
The majority of work is performed in a manufacturing setting. Work is performed in shop conditions and can be more than 100 °F.
This position requires access to knowledge and technical data regulated by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Valence Surface Technologies is required to verify that applicants meet ITAR requirements prior to employment for this role.
Qualifications
Education: High School or better.
Experience: 1+ year in aircraft painting.
