The Integrated Stage Technician is responsible for taking ownership of flight hardware immediately following structural welding and driving the vehicle through integrated assembly activities. This role serves as the bridge between fabrication and integrated vehicle operations, executing precision assembly, installation, coordination, and troubleshooting work across multiple technical disciplines including structures, avionics, fluids, and test.

This position requires a technician who is highly organized, technically capable, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced development environment with aggressive schedules. The Integrated Stage Technician is expected to coordinate cross-functional work, identify constraints before they impact flow, and maintain strong communication around schedule, blockers, and execution status.

Responsibilities

Assume ownership of stage hardware following welding and structural fabrication completion

Execute integrated assembly operations on aerospace flight hardware with a high level of precision and accountability

Install fluids system hardware including:

Tubing

Fittings

Valves

Brackets

Mounting hardware

Studs and inserts

Perform aerospace precision drilling, reaming, fastening, and alignment operations

Install and route:

Wiring harnesses

Instrumentation wiring

Cables

Install strain gauges, sensors, insulation systems, and integrated vehicle components

Support vehicle integration, checkouts, leak testing, fit checks, and pre-test operations

Coordinate and sequence work across structures, fluids, avionics, NDE, quality, and test teams

Identify labor durations, execution risks, and hardware constraints early and communicate impacts quickly

Assist in developing and maintaining integrated schedules and execution plans

Drive rapid resolution of assembly issues, interferences, and hardware discrepancies

Provide feedback to engineering teams to improve manufacturability, integration flow, tooling, and documentation

Maintain strong configuration control and workmanship standards on flight hardware

Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on throughput, quality, repeatability, and safety

Operate with a high level of ownership, urgency, and attention to detail in a development-focused production environment

Required Qualifications

5+ years of hands‑on aerospace, aviation, motorsports, or complex mechanical assembly experience

Experience with precision mechanical assembly and integration operations

Ability to read and interpret:

Engineering drawings

GD&T

Assembly procedures

Schematics

Torque specifications

Experience performing precision drilling, fastening, and hardware installation operations

Familiarity with fluids systems, tubing, fittings, routing, and mechanical integration practices

Experience working cross-functionally with engineering and production teams

Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills

Ability to prioritize work and adapt quickly to changing schedules and vehicle needs

Excellent communication and organizational skills

Understanding of production scheduling and execution flow

Ability to lift hardware, operate tooling, and work in physically demanding environments

Experience with pressure systems or leak testing

Crane, rigging, forklift, or lift certifications

Compensation
Target Levels:

Level 3 Range: $40.13 - $60.17

Level 4 Range: $49.02 = $73.55

ITAR Requirements
To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
