Responsibilities:

Choreograph 2 children’s musicals (ages 6-9)
Develop and implement a dance curriculum that fits the level of your students
Provide behavior management strategies to support students
Collaborate with education administration
Foster a creative and inclusive learning environment
Teach Jazz, Musical Theater Dance and Ballet
Encourage students to express themselves
Provide constructive feedback and evaluate students growth
Create choreography for recitals and shows
Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Dance or related field (or equal experience)
Experience working with children
Ability to follow a rehearsal calendar
Knowledge of behavior management techniques
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of individual students
Experience with Musical Theater
Choreography Experience
Performance Experience
Ability to write lesson plans, formations and follow a directors vision

$15.00 – $20.00 per hour
Grade levels:

Pre K-4th Grade
Schedule:

Classes will range from 4:00-6:30pm
3-12 hours a week
Ability to commute/relocate:

Woods Cross, UT 84087: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
Experience:

Teaching: 1 year (Preferred)
