Indianapolis, IN, United States | req28258 | 2nd shift (2:00pm – 10:30pm), Monday - Friday
Responsibilities

You will exhibit strong proficiency in interpreting and following Product Manufacturing Instructions (PMIs), Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), and production schedules to effectively execute daily tasks, ensuring safety, efficiency, and adherence to quality standards
Support and participate in current and new safety initiatives/policies as business needs arise
Follow step by step instructions detailed by senior operators in turnover reports, written job instructions, or verbal instructions and balance multiple tasks simultaneously
Demonstrate strong batch chemistry math skills, including the ability to accurately perform calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and weight percentage conversions across various units of measure
Operate and maintain large-scale powder production equipment, including atomizers, spray dryers, power cabinets, blenders, screeners, forklifts, scissor lifts, cranes, and pallet jacks, while working with high-pressure gases, induction-powered furnaces, and high-vacuum equipment, ensuring safe and efficient operation in compliance with company procedures and safety standards
Complete minor to moderate machine adjustments and maintenance repairs as needed by utilizing your mechanical skillset
Qualifications

A high school diploma or GED is required
Ability to read, understand, and follow complex work instructions with accuracy and attention to detail
Strong mathematical proficiency across units of measure (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) is essential
Experience operating plant equipment and industrial vehicles
Physically capable of frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, hand and finger manipulation, with occasional stooping, crouching, climbing, and lifting up to 44 lbs
The ability to safely wear and work with a full-face or half-face respirator is required
Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), and ability to quickly learn production-specific software and systems
