Summary
The People and Culture Coordinator supports the organization in cultural humility, employee well‑being, workforce improvement, and training. The role reports to the People Resources Manager and works closely with the People Generalist, Cultural Humility Specialist, and the Director of People and Culture.
Responsibilities
Serve as the initial point of contact for employees and external service providers with HR‑related inquiries.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations.
Assist in completing HR‑related forms and maintaining accurate employee data in the HRIS (Kronos).
Compile reports from HR systems as needed and maintain internal drives and trackers.
Manage new‑hire orientation logistics, support offboarding processes, and support performance appraisal tracking.
Coordinate employee engagement initiatives and recognize employee achievements.
Track employee morale through surveys, manage training calendars, and facilitate training logistics.
Maintain certification and license records and assist with performance appraisal performance.
Provide administrative support for HR projects and process improvements.
Desired Qualifications
1–3 years of HR experience, preferably in a nonprofit or mission-driven organization.
Knowledge of basic HR functions, employment laws and best practices.
Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Excellent communication and customer service skills and ability to communicate in English.
Experience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with Zoom, Teams, Outlook, and Zendesk.
Time management and confidentiality required.
