Accompanist, Piano

Job Description

The Ensemble Department is seeking a pianist to accompany students in ensemble classes.
Responsibilities

Act as part of the "house band" for regularly scheduled Ensemble Department classes.
Participate in Ensemble Department performances and additional rehearsals.
Accompany visiting artists’ concerts, clinics, and workshops.
Assist students and faculty during class time.
Work nights and weekends as required.
Qualifications

Minimum: Bachelor’s Degree in Music (preferred, but not required).
Strong musical background across a wide range of contemporary styles.
Excellent sight‑reading and musicianship, able to groove.
Complete technical command of the instrument.
Sensitivity to the needs of vocalists.
Ability to cultivate a supportive learning environment.
Commitment to ethical behavior and continuous self‑improvement.
Compensation and Benefits

Hourly rate: $40 per hour.
Employee type: Casual.
