Job Overview
The dance instructor / receptionist at Genovese Dance Alliance is responsible for working at the GDA front desk each week and substituting dance classes when needed. This position is flexible and inconsistent as responsibilities & tasks will change week to week. The dance instructor / receptionist should maintain a positive and friendly atmosphere between all students, parents and staff members. He or she should ensure that his or her responsibilities support Premiere’s overall vision and values.
Responsibilities and Tasks
Weekly Tasks
Working as an assistant to the receptionist at front desk.
Subbing classes when needed.
Close / open studio on an as needed basis.
Other tasks as assigned.

Monthly Event Reminders and Newsletters
Annual Mandatory Events
StreetFair Performance / Community Event (September)
Annual Recital (June)
Qualifications and Skill
General knowledge of dance studios
Trustworthy and Honest
Friendly and welcoming personality
Great work ethic including: self-motivation, integrity, and passion for the studio
Forward thinking
Organizational & time-management skills
Proficient in Google Drive, Google Calendar, and Mac usage
Utilizing Google software – Google Docs, Google Sheets, etc.
Able to manage a classroom of students
Ability to adapt teaching to all age levels and abilities
Background in dance, dance teaching & / or formal dance education
