REQ-41287WDAF-TV/FOX4 Kansas City is seeking a Reporter for Morning News. The reporter presents news stories and other content for all platforms in a manner that is clear, engaging and meaningful to news consumers. This role places a premium on delivering dynamic live reports over a wide range of topics.o Produce content for multiple platforms, including TV, digital, and streamingo Work with management to enterprise and develop stories dailyo Demonstrate compelling storytelling using dynamic live shots and stand-ups, creative graphics, and use of digital and social media platformso Organize material, determine angle or emphasis, and write story according to prescribed editorial style and format standardso Gather and verify information regarding stories through interviews, observation, and researcho Build network of sources who supply information that allows FOX4 to stay ahead of its competitorso Demonstrate versatility and show range – from breaking and hard news to community-focused featureso Performs special projects and other duties as assigned**Requirements & Skills:**o Bachelor’s degree in Communication/Journalism or related degree required (equivalent years of experience may substitute for education)o Two years of experience as a reporter or MMJo Dynamic on-camera presence, quality vocal delivery, and clear enunciationo Excellent reading, writing, spelling, grammar, and organizational skillso Promote teamwork and maintain an attitude of cooperation with all station personnelo Operate newsroom computer systems
