Athletics Communications Graduate Assistant for Creative Content and Video
The University of Mary is seeking an Athletics Communications graduate assistant to assist in all aspects of the department with an emphasis on Creative Content and Video. Responsibilities include multimedia content creation for social media accounts, game‑day venues, and marketing and promotion of Marauders athletics through video, photos and graphics; capturing and editing live game action; managing department social media accounts and developing an editorial calendar; assisting with in‑game productions for live webcasts (all sports) and videoboards; providing assistance for team social media accounts; maintaining the university website; serving as the primary media contact for teams; and recording live in‑game statistics as needed. Candidates will demonstrate willingness to support the Christian, Catholic, Benedictine mission of the University of Mary.
Desired Minimum Qualifications
Required: Bachelor’s degree and full‑time enrollment in a graduate program.
Required: Must meet eligibility requirements for admission to Graduate Studies at the University of Mary.
Experience in creating all forms of media content (written, visual, video).
Ability to use Adobe Creative Suite to design graphics and edit video and photos.
Degree in communication, journalism, public relations, sports management or a related field.
Experience working in college athletics or a university public relations office.
Ability to shoot and edit video (live game action, interviews, etc.).
Demonstrated editing (video, photos) and graphic design skills using Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, Photoshop, etc.).
Strong communication skills (oral, written, social media).
Social media knowledge.
Photography knowledge helpful.
Experience with live in‑game statistics helpful (NCAA Livestats, Statcrew, Presto Sports, etc.).
Experience with Sidearm website maintenance helpful.
Good work ethic, attention to detail, ability to manage sensitive and confidential student information, and familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Supports the ongoing implementation of Ex Corde Ecclesiae, the apostolic constitution on Catholic colleges and universities.
Builds a culture of ready and earnest hospitality in the Office of Intercollegiate Athletics and throughout the university, in accord with Saint Benedict’s admonition that all be received as Christ.
