Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to Dechert’s U.S. public relations efforts, supporting the team in maximizing media coverage in alignment with the firm’s business strategy.
Responsibilities

Support the U.S. PR team by researching and identifying media opportunities, and pitching approved ideas to targeted media outlets.
Assist in media monitoring, maintaining the media tracker, and preparing a daily media coverage report.
Draft press releases, media briefing notes, and background materials for interviews.
Coordinate media interviews, press events, byline article placement, and related administrative tasks.
Maintain and update target media lists, conduct conflict checks, and serve as a point of contact for routine PR requests.
Support additional projects and initiatives as required to meet team goals.
Skills & Qualifications

Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and meet tight deadlines.
Meticulous attention to detail, accuracy, and commitment to confidentiality.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable leveraging media monitoring tools and AI technologies.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with excellent grammar and the ability to produce clear, error‑free documents.
Enthusiastic, high‑energy team collaborator who thrives independently with minimal guidance.
Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or English.
1–2 years of experience in a public relations, communications, or media relations role, preferably within a professional services environment, or four semesters of competitive internship experience in a relevant field.
Salary & Location

Salary range: $55,000 to $65,000 annually (NewYork). Full‑time, NewYork.
