Responsibilities

General Communication (50%)
- Work with the Executive Director to formalize and execute an ongoing outreach plan to communicate with supporters and the community at large:

Stewardship (10%)

Assist stewardship staff with public‑facing events surrounding volunteer opportunities on nature preserves:

- Volunteer recruitment (long‑term and one‑time needs)

Administrative (5%)
- Prepare for and attend board and committee meetings.
- Assist with acquisition and stewardship duties (e.g., nature preserve workdays, property tours).
- Provide general office assistance.
Other responsibilities
All work will be completed in accordance with the Employee Handbook, relevant organizational policies and procedures, and up to the standards of Land Trust Standards and Practices and the Land Trust Accreditation Commission.

Required Qualifications

Excellent interpersonal skills including writing, email, phone, and in‑person communication.
Knowledge of computers, cameras, website management and email marketing platforms; specifically Microsoft Word and Excel, Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Acrobat.
Organized with attention to detail.
Ability to work a flexible schedule and occasional evenings and weekends.
Valid NYS driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications

Three or more years in a communication position within the environmental field.

Job Description
USC Athletics is looking to hire an Assistant Director of Sports Brands & Communication to join our staff and student community of 600+ individuals. This position is responsible for developing, writing, editing, and distributing content that promotes USC Athletics teams and student-athletes across a variety of platforms. The Assistant Director maintains accurate and up-to-date team information, including rosters, biographies, statistics, and records; manages assigned social media accounts; and collaborates with internal and external partners to create engaging multimedia content.

The role also operates statistical software to support gameday and season-long reporting, assists with the preparation and submission of conference and national award nominations, and provides strategic communications support for assigned athletic programs. Success in this position requires strong writing and storytelling skills, attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to promoting the achievements of USC Athletics.

Reporting directly to the Director of Sports Brands & Communications the Assistant Director of Sports Brands & Communications will work in collaboration with all USC Sports. Salary Range
The annual base salary range for this position is $70,304 - $75,000. When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer alignment, federal, state, and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations.
