The Programs Coordinator is responsible for identifying opportunities to increase capacity across our partner network to better meet the needs of the Community Food Bank's 12-county service area. Responsible for coordinating equitable food and resource distribution through partners designated counties within the Community Food Bank partnership network. Responsible for oversight of established programs, including assessments, site visits, program quality, data analysis, reporting, and creation and implementation of specific partner outcomes sought. Also offer training and onboarding opportunities for new and existing partners.
Responsibilities
Oversee all aspects of coordination for Temporary Assistance for Needy Families Program (TANF), the USDA Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP), including the Family Markets, School Pantries (K-12 and Collegiate), Summer Meals (Sunny Bites), and other grant-funded program opportunities.
Responsible for the creation of additional programming, including after-school and special initiative programs within our 12-county service area.
Evaluate and ensure compliance with existing partners based on Feeding America, State, and CFBCA guidelines.
Assess partnership opportunities and recommend engagement strategies to expand service capacity throughout the service area.
Analyze community needs and recommend new partnerships and service opportunities to address identified gaps.
Maintain a strong service orientation in responding to the needs of all partners in our service area.
Maintain effective and consistent communication with Program Manager and PE Director.
Implement and monitor partners' capacity growth plans to use available government food programs, expand services, and more.
Conduct site visits to partners once a year.
Frequent local travel is required.
Place orders and coordinate program site delivery schedules.
Provide technical assistance to partners related to the ordering process via phone, email, or in person.
Respond to partner complaints/issues promptly, working with other teams to find solutions.
Proactively communicate with partners regarding services, schedule changes, food safety, product marketing, and movement.
Assist with the collection of data needed for grant applications upon request.
Assist the Recall team with product recall protocols.
Assist with departmental audits and reports as needed.
Assist with the coordination of the CFB Home Delivery Program, such as Amazon and other identifiable home delivery programs.
Review program performance, identify operational challenges, and recommend solutions to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and community impact.
Communicate and work with the Development and Operations department to effectively execute programs reporting.
Occasional weekends and after-hours are required.
Additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred or at least 1 year experience in community/partner outreach.
