Wargaming Instructional Designer
BAE Systems is looking for a Wargaming Instructional Designer to support a training program. The Wargaming Instructional Designer will work with a team of engineers, wargamers, training developers, modeling & simulation experts, and instructors to deliver an integrated technical training solution to the military customer. The position is remote with occasional meetings and working sessions in the office at Dulles, Virginia. The successful candidate will have a combination of wargaming, training, military operations, and modeling and simulation expertise and experience.
Job Tasks:
Wargaming Training Course Design and Development
Design training syllabus for professional wargaming
Develop training content and materials for professional wargaming education
Research, learn, and play-test manual/tabletop and computer-assisted wargame systems
Modeling & Simulation Scenario Development and Testing
Research and develop unit/equipment database
Design and develop tactical and operational scenarios: orders of battle, unit laydowns, unit taskings
Play-test scenarios
Support development of Technical and Operator Manuals for M&S scenario creation
Support development of test cases for formal acceptance testing
Participate in formal system acceptance testing
Support Training Delivery
Provide training and demonstrations
Teach manual/tabletop and computer-assisted wargame systems
Support Instructors in the setup and execution of training delivery to the customer
Travel:
This role requires international travel.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills Education: At least a Bachelor's degree in Military Science, Modeling and Simulations, History, Political Science, or related fields Experience: 8+ years experience in professional wargaming, military training design and development, military service, and/or military modeling and simulations Key Skills:
