The Associate Manager, PR serves as a key source for media inquiries and cultivates/manages relationships with media, influencers, and key-opinion-leaders to generate positive reputation for our brands and products. This role will report to the Director Integrated Marketing and Communications.Key Responsibilities:Manage day-to-day consumer public relations activities and breakthrough campaigns with agencies and internal partnersParticipate in creative campaign sessionsConsult on strategy documents and presentationsEdit/write press releases and key messagesCreate digital media press kits & mailingsLead new products media strategy with PR agency to gain awarenessSupport development and execution of PR programs that sustain campaign momentum through timely storytelling, proactive outreach, and trend-driven opportunitiesDevelop media outreach strategies and targeted media listsMonitor media landscape for opportunities and respond to media inquiriesMaintain detailed internal media notes and contacts listSupport media training preparation and coordinate press interviews by developing briefing materials, managing schedules, and ensuring spokesperson readinessAssist in managing earned influencer programs and product seeding initiatives, including identifying partners, coordinating shipments, and tracking coverage and engagementManage influencer relationships and work with creators and agencies to support campaigns that generate earned coverageSupport planning and execution of media and influencer events by coordinating logistics, managing guest lists, and assisting onsite to ensure smooth execution and strong brand representationCreate campaign, quarterly, and year-end reports, including KPI analysis and insights to drive future programs and ideasWork with insights and marketing mix teams to evaluate PR effectivenessCollaborate with social media and content teams to develop opportunistic social content to gain earned media coverageQualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or other related field5+ years public relations experience (in-house or agency)Experience managing PR campaigns, working with social influencers/creators, and media relationsExperience managing a PR agencyStrong knowledge of modern PR and emerging earned media, influencer relations, and social mediaVendor management experienceExceptional interpersonal and influence skillsSolid business acumen and strong oral and written communication skillsStrong project management and organizational skills; able to work under pressure and with firm deadlinesSelf-motivated with a positive and professional approachStrong oral, written and presentation skillsProficient in Microsoft applications (especially PowerPoint)Experience working with digital/social media requiredAnalytical and conceptual problem-solving skills and able to make data-driven recommendationsAbility to adjust and adapt to fast-paced environmentConsumer Products Industry experience preferredMcCormick & Company is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
