Key Responsibilities Jib Camera Operation: Operate studio jib cameras safely and effectively, maintaining proper balance, spatial awareness, joystick control, shot composition, framing, and focus.
Audio Assist: Set up, test, and run audio equipment during live and taped productions.
Assistant Engineer‑In‑Charge Duties: Aid engineering staff with studio setup, equipment maintenance, and troubleshooting of control room and broadcast systems.
Qualifications Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Technology, Media Production, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a television studio, broadcast operations, or control room environment.
Experience with Ross Dashboard, OverDrive, Caprica, and other broadcast video systems preferred.
Basic understanding of color correction, iris control, IP‑based audio/video systems, signal flow, and streaming workflows.
Strong organizational, communication, and collaborative skills with the ability to work effectively in a team‑oriented environment.
Ability to adapt to a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven broadcast setting and work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Demonstrated willingness to learn and adapt to new broadcast technologies, systems, and workflows.
Member of IBEW local 1220 television broadcast engineers’ union (preferred).
Compensation $22.13 – $46.68 per hour, commensurate with applicant's experience and skill level.
