We're looking for professional voice actors and voice-over artists with authentic South African English accents to participate in paid studio recording sessions for a leading AI speech research project.
This is a contract role for experienced voice talent based in South Africa. Your recordings will help train AI systems to better understand real, natural human speech — the way South Africans actually talk.
This project does not involve voice cloning.

Sessions: 2–3 sessions of 4 hours each
Record natural, conversational South African English speech in a professional studio environment
Participate in solo single-speaker recording sessions
Participate in dual-speaker dialogue sessions with another voice artist
Vary tone, pacing, and delivery based on light direction from session leads
Deliver realistic, authentic dialogue that sounds natural and unscripted
Bring your full voice-acting craft to help AI sound more human
A professional voice actor or voice-over artist with real recording experience
A native or near-native South African English speaker with an authentic accent
Currently based in South Africa
Comfortable with natural conversational delivery — not just scripted read-throughs
Receptive to direction and able to adjust performance in the moment
Reliable, professional, and easy to work with in a studio setting
Background in acting, theatre, or performance
Experience in broadcast, podcast, or commercial voice-over work
Prior studio recording experience in a professional environment
Work on a genuinely cutting-edge AI project with a team partnered with leading research labs
