School Outreach and Family Support Liaison

Hours: 35 Hours/Week; Exempt
Salary: $72,000 - $78,000
Job Summary: The Family Counseling for School Success Program is a new program providing counseling and case management services to families connected with PS/MS15, PS 246, PS291, or who live within School District 10. The School Outreach & Family Support Liaison is the primary contact for school staff and will develop partnerships with key stakeholders. This role will lead family outreach and engagement, school-based offerings, supervise the School Outreach & Family Support Coordinator and facilitate the Triple P parenting groups.
Major Duties:
School Partnership
Meets with each school on a regular basis to ensure the process for obtaining referrals and providing services is successful.
Maintains an active presence in each school and be a member of each school's Leadership Team.
Participates in each schools' Leadership Team meeting and attends all scheduled meetings.
Co-designs specific activities to further support families with each school, involving families and key school personnel.
Cross-Program Collaboration
Collaborates with GSS leadership currently providing services within each school.
Coordinates and integrates services with other GSS programs where appropriate.
Family Intake
Coordinates/maintains intakes and case assignments.
Clinical Services & Support
Facilitates with the School Outreach & Family Support Coordinator several offerings of the weekly Evidenced-Based Model Triple P Group for all school families who enroll.
Implements and integrates the principles and procedures of Solution-Based Casework: assessment, family and individual level outcomes, action plans and documentation and celebration.
Facilitates case consultation and offers support and guidance to ensure staff are adhering to the tenets of SBC.
Participates in continued SBC training, coaching, and the SBC certification process.
Supervision/Professional Development
Actively participates in weekly supervision with Program Director.
Directly supervises the School Outreach & Family Support Coordinator.
Ensures the School Outreach & Family Support Coordinator is providing support and meeting the needs of assigned families.
Monitors the School Outreach & Family Support Coordinator's day-to-day case practice, documentation, and statistical recording, and ensures that required timeframes are met.
Evaluates the learning and training needs of supervisee and conducts appropriate staff performance reviews.
Integrates the practices of SBC into every supervisory session.
Other duties and projects as assigned.
Qualities Sought:
Familiarity with Administration for Children's Services (ACS) expectations and compliance standards
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain partnerships with community stakeholders and school leadership
Experience facilitating groups
Strong skills in outreach, engagement, and referral development (including converting referrals into active cases) and ability to manage event sign-ups, track attendance and follow up with prospective participants
Experience developing and distributing outreach materials (flyers, sign-up forms, surveys) to promote participation
Ability to manage program data, track outcomes, and ensure timely and accurate documentation
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to navigate sensitive situations with professionalism and diplomacy
Ability to create welcoming, culturally responsive environments for diverse families and school staff
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and data tracking systems
Strong collaborative skills

Qualifications :
Bilingual – Spanish/English preferred.
Master's degree in social work or other related degree preferred., LMSW/LCSW or similar license a plus. Will consider bachelor's degree with 10 or more years of related child welfare or school experience.
Supervisory experience a plus.
Experience in a school setting and/or child welfare a plus.
Must be available to work early mornings and evenings to accommodate parent and school personnel needs.
Willing to travel to each school and be on site on a regular basis.
Must have a commitment to work from a strength-based, trauma-informed, anti-racist, youth and family development perspective.
