Production Technician

Location Rockport, IN
Job Summary The Production Technician is responsible for inspecting packaging, receiving, and loading material for shipment by truck or rail in the Shipping Department.
Responsibilities Visual inspection of material on arrival into the department for damage
Package material according to specifications on the order
Maintain accurate inventory locations
Ensure storage facilities maintain the quality of product
Correct identification and storage of all inbound material
Load all outbound material (rail or truck) correctly and according to loading specifications supplied
Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications Previous manufacturing experience or ability to demonstrate understanding of material flow and proper handling of Work in Process inventories
Willing and able to work a rotating 4-on/4-off (12‑hour) schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
Willing and able to work in various environments, including indoor, atmosphere-controlled areas and outdoor slag‑based fields
Strong work ethic, stellar attendance record, and attention to detail
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis
Preferred Qualifications Computer skills and hands‑on experience with information systems to perform job functions efficiently
High School diploma or GED
