Gates / gate operators
Ability to troubleshoot independently
Can diagnose issues in the field or over the phone
Nice to have:
Previous Experience with one of these competitors: Vortex, Industrial Door Company, R&S Doors
Experience with ALL door types listed
Prior leadership or crew management experience
Managing 1 2 man crews is a plus
Experience with SIG automatic doors specifically
Especially if they've owned quotes end-to-end
Experience sourcing parts/vendors independently
Reduces training time significantly
Knowledge of compliance
ADA, fire-rated doors, safety standards
Experience in high-volume service environments
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily field operations across 10 20 active service jobs
Troubleshoot issues in the field and remotely support technicians by phone
Run service estimates and scope job requirements
Coordinate and schedule 1 2 person installation/service crews
Source parts, materials, and equipment needed for repairs and installs
Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and to quality standards
Communicate with customers, vendors, and internal teams to keep projects moving
Support compliance with safety and industry standards (ADA, fire code, etc.)
Partner closely with leadership during a 6-month training period
Required Experience
Strong background in commercial door and gate service/installation
Experience with a majority of the following systems:
Automatic doors (SIG or similar)
Hollow metal doors
Gates and gate operators
Proven ability to troubleshoot and diagnose issues in the field
Experience running estimates and coordinating service work
Comfortable managing multiple jobs and priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience across all listed door and gate systems
Prior leadership or crew supervision experience
Knowledge of compliance standards and safety regulations
Strong organizational and communication skills
