The CST role is located on Vancouver Island and supports the neurosurgery and spine program at Victoria General Hospital. The position requires a clinically solid individual who can provide responsive support to a high-volume surgical program and must be accessible and flexible to assist with scheduled procedures as well as unexpected trauma cases.
Beyond clinical case support, the CST is responsible for managing the territory, building strong relationships with surgeons and hospital staff, ensuring consistent clinical excellence in the operating room, and identifying opportunities to support the growth of the neurosurgery and spine program on Vancouver Island.
Responsibilities

Promote and sell Medtronic products and services within an assigned geographic territory and/or customer accounts to meet or exceed sales targets.
Develop, build, and maintain strong long-term relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, hospital staff, and distribution partners.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities by assessing customer needs and delivering product solutions that maximize the clinical and economic value of Medtronic technologies.
Provide clinical and product education to healthcare professionals to support safe and effective use of Medtronic products and services.
Conduct market research and maintain awareness of customer needs, market dynamics, and competitive activity.
Implement territory and market development strategies, adjusting plans as needed to achieve business objectives.
Communicate customer feedback, product insights, and market intelligence to internal stakeholders including Marketing, Operations, and Research & Development.
Required Knowledge and Experience

High School Diploma (or equivalent) with 6+ years of relevant experience.
Associates Degree with 4+ years of relevant experience.
Bachelors Degree with 2+ years of relevant experience.
Relevant experience may include sales, clinical support, or related roles within the Medical Devices industry, Medtech, Healthcare, or Life Sciences.
