Indoor Percussion Assistant, Part-Time

We are seeking an Indoor Percussion 1st Assistant for the upcoming winter indoor percussion season. The instructor/assistant must demonstrate strong skills in both battery and mallet instruments. Duties include recruitment and organization of the percussion group, weekly rehearsals, and small group instruction. This seasonal position runs November 2026 through April 2027, requiring approximately 200 hours. Stipend: $3,922 – $5,098.

Qualifications

High School Diploma with percussion experience required.

Bachelor’s degree in music (Percussion specialist) preferred.

Strong marching band / drum corps experience preferred.

Two or more years of teaching experience preferred.

Ability to interact with students of different ages and skill levels in a positive and professional manner.

Commitment to high student achievement and support for all students in a diverse, multicultural environment.

High degree of integrity.
