Job Description

We’re looking for a skilled and safety-minded Scissor Lift Technician to join our team. This position involves performing electrical and mechanical diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on a variety of scissor lifts and aerial work platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of both electrical systems and hydraulics, along with a commitment to quality workmanship and safety. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities

Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electric and hydraulic scissor lifts and aerial work platforms
Perform preventive maintenance and safety inspections in accordance with manufacturer and company standards
Diagnose electrical and control system issues, including wiring, relays, switches, fuses, and battery systems
Replace or repair worn or defective parts and ensure all equipment operates safely and efficiently
Maintain accurate service records and report maintenance activity in a timely manner
Follow OSHA and company safety procedures at all times
Communicate effectively with supervisors and other team members about repair status and equipment needs

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
2+ years of experience in equipment maintenance, electrical systems, or hydraulic repair (experience with scissor lifts, boom lifts, or forklifts preferred)
Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical manuals
Basic understanding of DC and AC electrical systems
Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically active environment
Safety-first mindset and attention to detail
Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends or evenings, as needed.
