Join Buro Happold as a Junior Graphic Designer (Part‑Time) and help create visual solutions for iconic buildings and urban environments. You’ll collaborate with MEP, Sustainability, Structures, and other disciplines on a variety of projects, sharpening your design and business‑development skills.
Responsibilities
In this role you will support the Senior Graphic Designer in creating client‑facing deliverables such as technical reports, published documents, presentations, competition entries and proposals. Your tasks include designing single images or entire deliverables, developing 2D/3D illustrations, renderings, diagrams, data visualizations, infographics, icons, branded presentations and document templates. You will guide creative direction, storyboard technical teams, identify visualization opportunities in text‑heavy documents and improve narrative communication. Apply Buro Happold’s brand guidelines (and client guidelines when needed) and provide support for company‑wide resources like image libraries and business‑development efforts.
Skills & Experience
1+ year of relevant professional experience
Bachelor’s degree in a field emphasizing visual communication—graphic design, information design, architecture, industrial design, or comparable work experience
Knowledge of the architectural industry/built environment is valuable
Proficiency with Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel
Experience with CAD software (Rhino, 3ds Max, AutoCAD, Revit) preferred
Data‑visualization skills (Tableau, Excel or other methods)
Strong grasp of design principles: typography, colour, composition
Willingness to learn AI software
Excellent communication and organisational skills; able to work with diverse teams and listen actively to engineer sketches
