Account Manager
PR Consulting is a brand strategy and public relations agency that specializes in developing and communicating authentic narratives to position companies and individuals across multi‑platform channels. We are seeking an Account Manager within our Culture team to support senior staff across leading fashion, retail and sport clients. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, dedicated, and culture‑obsessed, and will report directly to the department's Directors in New York.

Job Description

Support senior staff in the ideation and development of strategy supporting clients’ goals

Pitch and secure media coverage on client activity across both traditional and new media

Ideate creative pitch and media angles and concepts

Manage media requests for editorial opportunities and events, providing on‑site support as needed

Liaise directly with clients and manage day‑to‑day account activity

Create media alerts, releases, and other press collateral

Plan and execute events and brand activations

Research and share analysis on top trends within the fashion, culture, and sport industries

Demonstrate strong relationships with target press and influencers

Build and maintain target media lists, consistently developing new relationships aligned with the ever‑changing landscape

Develop influencer seeding strategy and oversee logistics

Oversee reporting to ensure deliverables are accurate and timely

Qualifications

Minimum 4‑5 years’ experience, ideally with relevant brands across fashion, retail, culture, and/or lifestyle spaces

Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively and concisely convey ideas to clients, media, senior team members, and colleagues

Strong knowledge of fashion, culture, and retail media landscapes

Proven track record in securing top‑tier coverage in print, online, broadcast, and new media

Strong deck‑building and writing skills are essential

Strong grasp of the digital landscape

Superior time‑management skills, ability to work quickly and efficiently, prioritize, and multitask

Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills

Experience in supervising and mentoring junior staff

Enthusiastic, collaborative attitude, and an ambitious team player

Salary Range $70,000 - $90,000
