2nd shift Production Supervisor

to join our team at our plant in Fremont, Ohio.
2pm-10pm Monday-Friday
What you will do

Supervision of hourly employees and scheduling of labor
Ensures safety, quality, housekeeping, and production activities and objectives are being met
Ensures that all equipment and material necessary to perform the job effectively and safely are in place.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to quality, production, safety, cost control, and employee relations.
Drive continuous improvement efforts in scrap reduction, safety, and process improvements.
Provide clear expectations and hold team members accountable while providing continual feedback.
Provide associates with inspiration, direction & coaching to achieve work objectives.
Develop team members accordingly
Promote, maintain, and develop lean manufacturing practices.
Monitor and address output & productivity issues within assigned departments inclusive of meeting production targets, cycle time and product & process quality standards.
Hold associates accountable for meeting Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost objectives.
Assist with administering training for associates.
Perform and complete various audits as assigned.
Hold team meetings to present line and company information.
Advise employees regarding quality and safety alerts and train associates accordingly.
Provide daily production reporting
Any additional reasonable request deemed necessary by management.

What you will bring

3-5 years of supervisory experience, preferably in a union environment
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Working knowledge of a unionized workforce desired
Able to work well in a team environment
High sense of urgency
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication
