Director - Center for Same Day Surgery Center

JOB LOCATION - Wilkes-Barre General Hospital

Responsibilities:

The Director of the Center for Same Day Surgery is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating Clinical Services.

Ensuring the quality of services provided.

Qualifications:

Education

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and currently licensed to practice professional nursing in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Master’s Degree in Nursing, Business, or Health Administration is preferred.

Experience/Specialized Skills/Aptitudes

Five (5) years in a nursing leadership position.

Five (5) years experience in a clinical specialty with a minimum of three (3) years in a tertiary care hospital.

Effective communication.

Strong leadership skills.

Ability to work collaboratively.

Demonstrate high level of performance.

Ability to integrate, coordinate, and facilitate ideas/programs/staff.

Strong interpersonal skills.

Ability to manage and facilitate change.

Problem-solving skills.

Licenses/Certificates

Current Pennsylvania Registered Nurse license.

Current BLS certification must be completed prior to end of orientation period.
