Description
At

Meritus Health , our mission is simple:

Improve the Health of the Community.

As our Marketing & Communications Specialist, you'll help tell the stories behind the people, programs, and services that make that mission possible.

In this role, you'll support marketing and communications efforts across

Meritus Health ,

Brook Lane Health Services , and the

Meritus School of Osteopathic Medicine (MSOM) —three organizations united by a commitment to improving the health and well‑being of our community through exceptional patient care, behavioral health services, and the education of tomorrow's physicians.

If you're a creative storyteller, strategic marketer, and relationship builder who enjoys working on a wide variety of projects, this is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact every day.

What You’ll Do
As the Marketing & Communications Specialist, you'll collaborate with leaders across

Meritus Health, Brook Lane Health Services, and the Meritus School of Osteopathic Medicine

to develop and execute marketing strategies that strengthen each organization's brand while supporting their unique goals and audiences.

You will:

Develop marketing strategies that support clinical services, behavioral health, medical education, community outreach, and organizational initiatives.

Partner with leaders across Meritus Health, Brook Lane Health Services, and the Meritus School of Osteopathic Medicine to understand business objectives and deliver effective marketing solutions.

Help tell the stories of our patients, providers, students, faculty, and team members through compelling digital and print content.

What Makes This Role Unique
No two days are the same. One week you may be launching a new medical practice, promoting a behavioral health initiative at Brook Lane, supporting a community event, and helping recruit the next generation of physicians for the Meritus School of Osteopathic Medicine.

If you enjoy balancing strategy with creativity, collaborating with diverse teams, and seeing your work make a visible impact across multiple organizations, you'll thrive in this role.

What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate is:

A strong writer and storyteller with exceptional communication skills.

Experienced in developing multi‑channel marketing campaigns from concept through execution.

Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Skilled at building collaborative relationships with leaders and cross‑functional teams.

Data‑driven and able to translate marketing metrics into actionable insights.

Passionate about serving the community and supporting meaningful work.

Education

- Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, English, Communications, Journalism, or other related disciplines from an accredited college or university required.

Experience

– Minimum 3 years related experience in marketing and/or communications; health care marketing communications experience preferred.

Healthcare marketing experience is a plus, but we're most interested in candidates who can demonstrate strategic thinking, creativity, collaboration, and measurable results.

Why Meritus?
At Meritus Health, you'll join a mission‑driven organization that's transforming healthcare in our region. From acute care and behavioral health to medical education, you'll help shape how our organizations connect with patients, families, students, providers, and the communities we serve.

Your work won't just support a brand—it will support healthier communities and the future of healthcare.
