Worship Minister
FBC Lindale is a 150‑year‑old, Elder‑led congregational Baptist church in the heart of Northeast Texas that highly values expository preaching and word‑centered worship. The church seeks a Worship Minister to oversee a multi‑generation worship ministry that serves three times on the Lord’s Day (8:15 a.m., 11 a.m., and 5 p.m. prayer service) and continually leads it with excellence and vision.

Responsibilities

Worship Services:

Plan, lead, and support all worship services; develop the liturgy in partnership with the Lead Pastor; oversee worship team rehearsals (band, vocalists, choir, teaching team for sound, lighting, video, projection, etc.); collaborate with ministry staff to develop additional worship teams as needed (children’s ministries, student ministries, etc.); and plan special events such as worship conferences and holiday celebrations.

Teaching of the Word:

Choose theologically sound, gospel‑centered songs and hymns; prepare word‑driven liturgies that include songs, scripture readings, prayers, confessions, and creeds; encourage theological growth among worship team members; and manage the KidsCore Ministry, developing new material within two years.

Ministerial Care:

Oversee the spiritual needs of the congregation; facilitate robust corporate worship; shape the culture of the worship team in line with the church’s vision and values; develop and mentor current and future worship leaders; and meet one‑on‑one with team members for fellowship and spiritual formation.

Administration:

Recruit, train, schedule, and evaluate worship team members; create a weekly order of service using Planning Center software; schedule staff and volunteers; participate in all scheduled staff meetings and staff development opportunities; and develop a recommended annual ministry action plan and budget for the Worship Arts Ministry.
