Import Export Compliance Manager TCRS4725

HIGH-LEVEL OVERVIEW
The Import Export Manager is responsible for ensuring compliance with U.S. import and export regulations and maintaining global trade compliance policies and procedures, with a primary focus on CBP and EAR rules and regulations.

This is a 100% in-office position based in Long Grove, IL, Jackson, TN, or Farmington Hills, MI.

EXPECTATIONS

Ensure compliance with import and export laws, with a primary focus on U.S. Customs regulations

Monitor regulatory changes and assess their business impact

Develop and maintain global trade compliance policies, procedures, and training

Support internal and external audits, post-entry reviews, and compliance assessments

Lead product HTS & ECCN classification, valuation, country of origin, and FTA eligibility

Manage export license process following EAR regulations and requirements

Determine and apply Antidumping and Countervailing Duty (AD/CVD) case numbers and rates

Serve as the primary point of contact for CBP trade compliance inquiries and investigations

Track trade KPIs and provide insights to senior leadership

ESSENTIALS

Licensed US Customs Broker (LCB) preferred

5- 7+ years of trade compliance experience, focused on import logistics

In-depth knowledge of U.S. import regulations, HTS classification, valuation, and PGA

Strong knowledge of Free Trade Agreement programs, with emphasis on USMCA

Experience with Foreign Trade Zones (FTZ) and duty drawback programs

Experience in automotive, chore products, or base metal industry a plus

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to travel domestically and internationally (approximately 10%)
