US Department of War is hiring: WRITER-EDITOR in Navy Yard City

Duties

You will plan, prepare, produce and publish a broad range of U.S. Navy historical knowledge products for distribution in print and electronic formats.
You will conduct independent research and consult with specialists to check accuracy of facts and documentation of sources.
You will work closely with authors or other content providers, discussing recommended changes in subject-matter treatment, obtaining information for revisions, and reconciling differences of opinion.
You will use electronic production methods throughout the editorial and review process to ensure that each review and corrections phase is completed efficiently.
You will proofread page and cover proofs and provide final approval for printing to begin, conduct press sheet and binding inspections and inspections of final product.
