Production Engineer - Li-ion Battery Pack Assembly
We are looking for a highly driven Production Engineer with hands-on experience in Li-ion Battery Pack Assembly and strong knowledge of Manufacturing Processes, Safety, and Quality Systems . The candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day production operations, ensuring timely delivery of battery packs while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Production & Operations
Manage end-to-end battery pack assembly operations
Ensure production targets are met on time without compromising quality
Monitor and optimize line efficiency, cycle time, and throughput
Identify bottlenecks and implement continuous improvements in production flow
Quality & Process Control
Ensure strict adherence to SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures)
Drive implementation of 5S, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma practices
Maintain high standards of process discipline and product quality
Work closely with QA/QC teams to reduce defects and rework
Safety & Compliance
Ensure compliance with Li-ion battery safety standards and handling protocols
Promote a strong safety culture across the production floor
Conduct regular audits to ensure safe handling of cells, modules, and packs
Ensure usage of proper PPE, ESD controls, and insulated tools
Team Management
Train, and supervise a team of technicians and operators
Ensure professional work culture and discipline on the shop floor
Allocate tasks effectively and monitor team performance
Mentor team members and improve skill levels over time
Planning & Coordination
Coordinate with R&D, Supply chain, Design, and Quality teams
Ensure availability of materials, tools, and manpower
Plan production schedules and manage time effectively
Drive initiatives for process improvement and cost reduction
Improve line layout, ergonomics, and productivity
Required Skills & Knowledge
Strong understanding of:
Li-ion battery pack assembly (cells, BMS, busbars, wiring, insulation)
Manufacturing processes and line setup
SOPs, Work Instructions, and documentation
Knowledge of:
Basic electrical safety and battery handling practices
Ability to:
Manage teams professionally
Improve processes with a quality-first mindset
Preferred Qualifications
Diploma / B.E / B.Tech in Electrical / Mechanical / Production / related field
Experience in EV, ESS, or Battery Manufacturing Industry
Exposure to BMS integration and testing is a plus
Strong leadership and ownership mindset
Attention to detail and quality-focused
Good communication and coordination skills
Problem-solving attitude
High level of discipline and accountability
