Burson Buchanan, part of the Burson Global Network, is seeking a Senior Account Executive/Account Director to support high‑profile, high‑stakes client work across financial communications, crisis and issues management, litigation, government investigations, and special situations. This is a hands‑on execution role designed for a strong doer who thrives in fast‑paced, high‑pressure environments.

This is an opportunity to work with a seasoned executive team supporting Fortune 100 C‑Suite level clients on some of their most mission‑critical issues.

The nature of our work is high‑stakes and urgent, so the role requires the understanding that weekend and evening work will be required when necessary.

This role can be based in New York, Washington DC or Chicago.

What you’ll do:

Execute day‑to‑day client work across financial, crisis, and special situations engagements

Draft and edit high‑quality written materials including media materials, client updates, briefing documents, and internal communications

Support senior team members in managing complex, time‑sensitive projects

Monitor news, issues, and regulatory developments relevant to client matters

Coordinate across teams and time zones to ensure seamless execution

Demonstrate sound judgment, discretion, and urgency when handling confidential matters

Experience that contributes to success:

3–5 years of experience in strategic communications, financial communications, crisis, or issues management

Experience working on litigation, government investigations, capital markets, or special situations preferred

Exceptional writing and editing skills

Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously

Comfort operating in a 24/7, high‑stakes environment with fluctuating workloads

Prior advisory firm experience is a plus

The base salary for this position at the time of this posting may range between:

$60,000—$140,000 USD
