Department Detail – Photo Ministry Services manages over 60 years of historic BGEA photo content, captures the Gospel impact of current BGEA ministries around the world through photography. They provide photo content to various BGEA ministry areas for numerous uses including press
ews, BGEA’s Decision magazine and internet sites, other print publications, and social media.
Job Summary – Serves as staff photographer for BGEA ministry events and other settings. The Photographer will be available to receive, process, and archive the photo/digital files in the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA) Photo Department. The duties of the Photographer include utilization of advanced digital imaging such as color correction, editing, scanning of printed photos and negatives, and digital asset management.
Ministry Requirements

Maintains a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ
Faithfully upholds BGEA in prayer
Participates in daily BGEA staff devotions including Bible reading, and leading group prayer as schedule permits
Demonstrates behavior aligned with BGEA’s Mission Statement, Statement of Faith, Hallmarks, policies, and expectations
Effectively represents Jesus Christ to those within both personal and professional spheres of influence
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Makes photographs and works with other photographers to ensure integrity of all BGEA photos for use internally, and for external requests in accordance with all BGEA policies and procedures
Receives, categorizes, numbers and compiles metadata for digital files from camera cards and other sources
Digital Asset Management: Tagging and adding metadata from both new and archive photo shoots
Assisting in the Digital Asset Management structure with consistent and unified workflow procedures
Provides Quality Control assistance to the Manager for the Digital Asset Management system software and hardware.
Maintains and updates Photo Department Archive with storage media and printed photos
Produces and prints photos using in-house printers and outside labs
Produces proof sheets and creates online documents for quick viewing and verification of photos and other digital files
Assists other photographers in maintaining photography and archiving equipment
Arranges and creates studio portraits, objects on display, and provides artistic photography requiring knowledge and experience with special lighting
Arranges and creates outdoor event photography, often requiring special lighting
Provides basic graphic design assistance in the production and presentation of the work in the BGEA Photography Department
Marginal Duties and Responsibilities

Assists Manager, Photo Operations with planning, research, and development in the latest advances of photography and archiving of both physical film and the born-digital photo files
Assists department management with administrative duties
Remains flexible and available for travel and time-sensitive assignments
May participate in video shoots
Performs other functional duties as required
Job Specifications

Skills and Knowledge

Bachelor-level degree, and/or a minimum of four to seven years of related experience and training
Experience with or complete knowledge of Macintosh Operating System required
Total proficiency in use of Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Bridge and Adobe Lightroom.
Experience with or capacity to thoroughly utilize Microsoft Office Suite
Experience with other photography based software and digital asset management
Ability to communicate verbally and in written form with staff of all levels of the association
Experience with or ability to learn functionality of PC and Mac computers and systems, printers, copiers, and other standard office equipment
Ability to relate to people well, being approachable, as well as have the ability to manage administrative tasks simultaneously
Excellent organizational skills, with strong attention to detail
Ability to proofread and identify errors

Working Conditions

Work is performed in a conventional office environment, and outdoors at ministry events, Festivals, and Celebrations
Domestic and international travel required
Extended daily, weekly, and weekend work hours will be required
