Position Summary
The Production Technician Associate will report directly to the Plant Manager or their designate and is responsible for performing a variety of production tasks to assist with operations in production.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Operate a forklift.
Package 10-50 lb. bags of bulk product via saddle to pallet as well as fill 3000 lb. super sacks and 50,000 lb. tankers.
Clean the warehouse and work area as required.
Perform daily maintenance checks in accordance with procedures.
Call specialists when more serious problems arise.
Track various data associated with production equipment.
Report any inconsistencies and use standard repair procedures.
Work in compliance with company safety and operating procedures.
Maintain high production levels in areas of responsibility.
Take samples according to the quality standards.
Ensure all batch sheets and samples are turned into the quality lab in a timely manner.
Ensure finished products are packaged and labeled to customer specifications and bulk trailers are labeled with the correct customer information.
Ensure proper material is used per customer formulations.
Other duties, as assigned by management.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Previous experience in a production/manufacturing setting.
Capable of working in a team and independently.
Capable of following a production report while working independently.
