PR Intern

Want to advance your public relations career? This paid career-track opportunity is a one semester internship designed for juniors or seniors in a university public relations program and available for either a part time – 20 hour per week internship, or a full time – 40 hour per week internship. Strong candidates will have excellent writing, communication, organizational and problem-solving skills, plus a professional demeanor, previous PR experience and a passion for client service. An Account Manager should have at least five years of public relations expertise in a corporate business or non-profit environment; PR firm experience preferred. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field, knowledge of public relations tools, and extensive experience in PR research, planning and implementation. Product launch/corporate marketing experience in the consumer, travel, healthcare, technology, energy or financial industries a plus. Strong client service, strategic thinking, supervisory and writing skills required. Excellent communication and presentation skills are essential. APR desired.
The Account Executive position requires a minimum of three years’ public relations experience including a solid understanding of program planning and implementation – especially experience in media relations. This executive must have a bachelor’s degree, strong writing, strategic thinking, and Internet research skills. Product launch/corporate marketing experience in the consumer products, healthcare, travel/tourism or financial services industries a plus.
The Assistant Account Executive position requires one year of experience in PR, including PR program planning and implementation – especially media relations. This executive should have a bachelor’s degree, strong writing, strategic thinking, and Internet research skills.
