Foreign Affairs Officer

Duties

Advise and coordinates with senior leadership in State and Department of Homeland Security (DHS) regarding the development and implementation of U.S. migration policies and programs, including bilateral and multilateral migration-related arrangements.
Analyzes and evaluates migration-related proposals and their short- and long-term impact on U.S. national security objectives and bilateral relations in the Western Hemisphere.
Manages one or more complex programs region-wide, including regional migration policy, programs, and arrangements.
Negotiates agreements and integrates operational objectives across Department offices and USG agencies to develop coherent strategies and positions that account for the implications of each course of action.
