Responsibilities Reporting news stories: Researching, interviewing sources, and gathering information for news stories.
Shooting video: Operating camera and audio equipment to capture footage of events and interviews.
Editing video: Assembling footage using non-linear editing software, adding graphics, and editing the story to a broadcast‑ready format.
Writing news copy: Crafting clear and concise written reports to accompany the video footage.
On‑air presentation: Delivering news reports live or pre‑recorded on television or other platforms.
Story pitching: Identifying potential news stories and presenting them to newsroom management.
Social media engagement: Sharing stories and interacting with viewers on social media platforms.
Self‑sufficiency: Often working independently, responsible for all aspects of your story production from start to finish.
Adaptability to different platforms: Tailor stories for various media outlets including television, online, and social media.
Requirements & Skills Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work‑related experience.
Fluency in English.
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
Adobe Premiere knowledge.
Minimum two years’ experience in news reporting.
Superior on‑air presence.
Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
Flexibility to work any shift.
