Department Maintenance - Mechanic / Electric
Purpose Performs electric and electronic advanced maintenance inspections, diagnosis and corrective actions, performing systematic analysis of problems and improvement opportunities, in a safe and efficient manner according to applicable procedures and best practices, complying with defined quality standards.
Responsibilities Commit with health, safety and environmental policies and notify situations that present potential risk.
Ensure product quality complying with defined standards and reporting deviations.
Carry out duties in an efficient manner meeting productivity and efficiency standards in accordance with minimum costs.
Perform activities according to applicable procedures.
Complete and update all applicable records ensuring information accuracy and product traceability.
Ensure proper use of the company assets, detecting and reporting malfunctioning.
Attend and collaborate in training activities in ordered to maintain and increase the company knowledge.
Proactively suggest improvements and participate in continuous improvement activities.
Maintain a clean and ordered workplace.
Perform activities understanding their consequences on the global process.
Abide by Tenaris discipline norms.
Main Activities Diagnose and repair issues with motor controls, including contactors, starters, overloads, relays, and associated wiring.
Troubleshoot and maintain Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), including parameter adjustments, fault code interpretation, wiring checks, and drive replacements.
Troubleshoot faults in PLC controlled machinery by checking field devices, wiring and voltages to trace input to output paths.
Bend, install, and run various types of conduit (EMT, rigid, PVC, flexible) using hand and power benders to precise measurements and codes.
Pull wire, terminate connections, and install electrical components, panels, junction boxes, and fixtures in accordance with blueprints, schematics, and National standards.
Perform preventive maintenance inspections, testing, and documentation on electrical equipment to minimize downtime.
Use multimeters, megohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools to test continuity, voltage, current, insulation resistance, and component functionality.
Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, one-line diagrams, and equipment manuals to support troubleshooting and installations.
Collaborate with maintenance teams, engineers, and production personnel to resolve equipment issues quickly and safely.
Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and maintenance activities.
