We're excited to be partnering with a leading global law firm in the search for a Marketing & Business Development Manager to support its Energy, Environment & Transportation regulatory practices in Washington, DC or Denver. In this role, you will work closely with practice leadership to drive strategic marketing and business development initiatives across a fast-evolving and high-impact sector.
This is a dynamic, globally connected position where you will collaborate with lawyers and BD colleagues across the U.S., UK, and Europe to enhance market profile, strengthen client relationships, and support growth in areas shaped by rapid innovation across energy transition, infrastructure, and regulatory change.
We would love to speak with individuals who bring strong business development and marketing experience from a law firm or professional services environment. Prior exposure to energy, infrastructure, or regulated sectors would be highly advantageous.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Develop and implement business development and marketing strategies for the Energy, Environment & Transportation practices in alignment with global priorities.
Partner with Practice Area Leaders to support business planning, budgeting, and execution of strategic initiatives.
Lead the preparation of pitches, proposals, and credentials, ensuring high-quality, compelling materials that reflect the firm's strengths.
Manage and deliver marketing campaigns and profile-raising initiatives, including thought leadership and client programs.
Plan and execute client-facing events, webinars, conferences, and sponsorships, tracking effectiveness and ROI.
Oversee client communications, including client alerts and digital content, and monitor engagement metrics.
Support the delivery of awards submissions, legal directory entries, and other high-profile recognition efforts.
Conduct market and competitive analysis to inform strategy, identify opportunities, and support decision-making.
Lead and manage special projects such as website and credentials reviews, ensuring consistency and quality across materials.
Act as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders, responding to practice needs and driving collaboration across teams.
