Role

Teva is searching for a Regional Sales Manager (RSM) to join our hospital sales team in the South Region. This position will be part of the newly created sales team focused on the psychiatry space and responsible for the performance of an approved long-acting injectable therapy for schizophrenia. The RSM will hire, onboard, and lead a team of 8-10 Hospital Account Managers. The RSM will be responsible for achieving and delivering results in a compliant and ethical manner. The RSM will possess an understanding of organizational objectives and align resources appropriately to meet those objectives. While pursuing their goals, the incumbent will uphold the culture and values of Teva in all interactions and business matters. They will analyze trends and apply knowledge to help the sales team accomplish its sales goals. The RSM will effectively plan and complete all business activities via aligned objectives and analytics and will maximize available resources. The RSM will build and maintain strong, mutually beneficial networks/relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. The RSM will possess impactful and influential communication and presentation skills and keep the objective in mind while moving the sales team towards a solution.
How You’ll Spend Your Day

ESSENTIAL AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
The following areas of responsibility are essential to the satisfactory performance of this position by any incumbent. Any nonessential functions are assumed to be included in other related duties or assignments.
Responsibilities

Identify, recruit, coach, and retain top talent for the Teva Psychiatry Hospital sales team
Develop expertise and coach others on regional business focus areas, including settings of care, payer and pull-through opportunities, and flawless execution of the marketing strategy
Develop effective business plans to meet and exceed regional sales goals
Coach/train others in different settings of care to identify key business opportunities
Demonstrate a collaborative sales approach and coordinate efforts between sales leadership, other Teva sales teams, market access, sales operations, and training
Adhere to all Teva compliance guidelines, operate with integrity, and ensure the sales team adheres to these policies
Review weekly/monthly data reports to identify trends and make plans to address concerns
Coach teams on the execution of the defined call plan for each hospital account manager
Coach teams towards success from hire date onward, providing appropriate counseling, encouragement, and oversight to ensure effective execution of brand strategy
Spend 90+ days in the field, supporting local sales representatives
Qualifications

Bachelor\'s degree required
Minimum 3+ years of pharmaceutical first-line sales management or related people management experience (or demonstrated leadership ability in internal candidates)
A record of successfully achieving sales goals and building, coaching, and developing effective sales teams
Experience in psychiatric therapeutic areas strongly preferred and specific experience with long-acting injectables for the treatment of schizophrenia preferred
Recent experience launching products in the psychiatric space across multiple settings of care and hospitals preferred
Injectable and in-hospital administration experience within an acute care hospital facility preferred
Experience in rare disease space, working with Specialty Pharmacies, Buy and Bill, and HUB services strongly preferred
Ability to interact with customers in live and virtual environments and proficiency with technology
Understanding of reimbursement coverage and pull-through strategies as well as experience in all pertinent settings of business (Hospitals, CMHC, specialty pharmacy, private practice)
Proven written and verbal communication skills
Valid US driver\'s license and acceptable driving record required
Teva Pharmaceuticals USA, Inc. requires all U.S. new hires for customer facing roles to complete credentialing requirements for access to customers\' targets within 60 days of start date. Credentialing requirements may include vaccinations and medical testing. Any exception requests must be approved by the national sales leader within the first 60 days of employment.
Travel

Extensive travel throughout the assigned region, which may include air travel and weekend or overnight travel.
Physical & Working Environment

Occasional physical requirements: Visual Acuity, Sit for extended periods, computer work, data preparation and analysis, extensive reading.
Working environment may require wearing PPE on site visits (e.g., safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves).
Salary & Benefits

The annual starting salary for this position is between $151,000 – 190,000 annually. Factors affecting starting salary include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and qualifications. This position qualifies for participation in the company\'s sales incentive plan, which rewards employees based on defined sales targets and adheres to plan guidelines.
