What You Will Do

Core responsibilities for a Civil Operator include:
Adhere to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures.
Efficiently and safely operate heavy mobile equipment of various sizes and weights associated with open pit mining.
Perform minor service and maintenance on equipment.
Recognize and document potential job hazards in compliance with company policies.
Work as a team to help meet or exceed production, waste, and quality goals.
Perform general housekeeping duties to continuously maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Work in hot, humid, cold, and noisy industrial environments.
Work any shift, holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing, and/or pulling for at least eight (8) hours.
Maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including safety equipment.

Be on time to the jobsite each day ready for work.

Physical Demands

Capable of working in outdoor weather and environmental conditions including extreme heat and humidity, extreme cold, and high elevations.
Lifting and carrying awkward objects up to 60 lbs.
Standing for extended periods of time up to 11 hours per day, with breaks at 2.5‑hour intervals.
Moving the entire body with considerable use of arms, legs, climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, crawling, twisting, reaching, and bending on a regular basis.
Must have good hand‑eye coordination.
Use hands to handle, control, and feel objects and/or tools.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

Six (6) months or more of experience operating construction and/or mining equipment: end dump truck, Caterpillar 770 class or larger, excavator (Caterpillar 325 class or larger), front‑end loader (Caterpillar 950 class or larger), dozer (Caterpillar D8 class or larger), or Wirtgen Surface Miner 2200SM.
Other Job Requirements

Able to work in the described industrial environment.
Able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to adhere to the safety regulations of the position.
Able to work all shifts up to 12 hours per day and 7 days a week as required by the project.
What Will Put You Ahead

One (1) year or more of experience operating construction and/or mining equipment.
Currently 4‑48 MSHA‑trained.
