WGN-TV - Part-Time Photographer/Editor

Join our News Team as a Part-Time Photographer/Editor.

Responsibilities:
The Photographer/Editor is responsible for operating cameras, non-linear editing systems, microwave equipment, and cellular bonding equipment in support of electronic newsgathering operations.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in broadcasting or a related field, or equivalent experience required

Strong understanding of spot news coverage with an eye for creative storytelling

Ability to safely operate and maneuver a live truck

Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs

Work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Strong communication skills and sound editorial judgment

Familiarity with Chicago city streets is a plus

Experience with Adobe Premiere preferred

3-5 years of television news gathering, editing, and microwave experience required

Valid driver's license required

Become a member of IBEW local 1220 television broadcast engineers' union.

Compensation:
$27.87 - $46.68 per hour - commensurate with applicant's experience and skill level
