Growing Food Manufacturer hiring a Social Media Marketing Strategist in their Passaic County, NJ Office!

We're looking for a Social Media Marketing Strategist who lives and breathes organic social. This is a high-ownership role: you'll be the single driver of our Instagram and TikTok presence, responsible for both follower growth and the engagement that fuels it.

What You'll Own

Organic Strategy & Content Execution

Develop and execute a full organic social strategy across Instagram and TikTok, with a clear POV on content pillars, posting cadence, and platform‑specific formats

Plan, produce, and publish content end‑to‑end — from concept and briefing to copywriting, creative direction, and final posting

Translate brand priorities, campaigns, and product moments into compelling organic content that resonates with target audiences

Flag high‑performing organic for boosting and feed creative learnings to the paid/media team

Follower Growth & Engagement

Serve as the single accountable owner of Instagram and TikTok follower growth and organic engagement metrics

Set growth targets, track performance, and continuously optimize based on data

Identify and act on opportunities to expand reach through collaborations, hashtags, formats, and algorithm‑friendly behaviors

Collaborate closely with Influencer and Creator Partnerships AMM to ensure strategies are aligned and mutually beneficial

Events & Experience Content

Be present at (or closely coordinating around) brand events and experiences, capturing and contextualizing moments for organic social

Turn live events into real‑time content opportunities that drive community engagement and attract new followers

Build repeatable frameworks for how the brand shows up during key moments — launches, activations, partnerships, and tentpole occasions

Trend Participation & Real‑Time Community Engagement

Monitor cultural trends, platform‑native moments, and competitor activity daily

Make fast, confident decisions about when and how to participate in trends — within established brand guardrails

Engage authentically with the community through comments, DMs, duets, stitches, and other platform‑native interactions

Research & Insights

Conduct ongoing competitive and cultural research to stay ahead of shifts in audience behavior, content formats, and platform features

Synthesize social listening data and engagement signals into actionable recommendations for the broader marketing team

Share regular performance reports and insights that inform strategy beyond organic social

Experience and Skills
What We're Looking For

3-5 years of hands‑on organic social media experience, ideally for a consumer brand

Deep, up‑to‑date fluency in Instagram and TikTok — how the algorithms work, what content performs, and why

Proven track record of growing a brand's following and engagement organically

Strong content instincts with the ability to concept, write, and direct content

Comfort with real‑time content decisions and the judgment to know when a trend is on‑brand and when it isn't

Experience turning event and IRL moments into compelling organic content

Data‑literate: you know your way around native analytics and can translate performance data into strategy

Excellent written voice with the ability to adapt tone across formats and audiences

Self‑directed and highly organized — you can manage a content calendar, handle reactive moments, and run research all at once

The budget for this role is 100k base - $130k base, bonus and Benefits!
