Job Summary
The Sales & Marketing Manager is responsible for developing, expanding, and managing strategic customer relationships across Tesla’s Automotive, Energy Storage, and Solar divisions. This role focuses on high‑value accounts that drive significant revenue, long‑term growth, and strategic market influence. The leader will deliver customer engagement programs that strengthen satisfaction, retention, and cross‑portfolio sales opportunities while representing Tesla’s ecosystem. This position requires regular travel to customer sites, project locations, and Tesla facilities.

Job Description
Key Accountabilities:

Strategic Account Development

Identify, develop, and grow key accounts across Tesla Automotive, Energy, and Solar product lines.

Build long‑term, trust‑based customer relationships by resolving issues quickly, introducing innovative solutions, and delivering exceptional service.

Conduct strategic account planning to understand customer needs, market challenges, and expansion opportunities across all Tesla offerings.

Partner with customers to design and implement multi‑year, scalable supply chain solutions.

Sales Leadership & Revenue Growth

Achieve targets related to revenue growth, profitability, customer retention, and cross‑product adoption.

Drive new business development by positioning Tesla’s full ecosystem—EVs, charging, solar, and energy storage—as an integrated value proposition.

Lead contract negotiations, manage contract requirements, and ensure internal teams deliver on commitments.

Customer Engagement & Relationship Management

Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews with key customers and suppliers to evaluate performance, identify opportunities, and strengthen partnerships.

Maintain proactive communication to ensure customer expectations are met and exceeded.

Collaborate with Inside Sales, Credit, Quality, and Operations to ensure seamless customer experience.

Performance Management & Continuous Improvement

Review performance metrics monthly and drive continuous improvement initiatives across sales, service, and delivery.

Proactively manage Line of Balance and identify cost, schedule, or operational risks.

Develop and execute risk‑mitigation strategies to ensure successful project and product delivery.

Market Strategy & Planning

Develop a comprehensive market plan with measurable goals, action steps, and performance benchmarks.

Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer insights to refine sales and marketing strategies.

Support Tesla’s brand presence through customer events, product demonstrations, and industry engagement.

Operational & Safety Responsibilities

Work directly with or around production equipment, assembly halls motor vehicle equipment in alignment with Tesla’s safety standards.

Demonstrate a strong safety mindset and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and company policies.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements

High School Diploma / GED

Equivalent combination of education and sales experience in lieu of college degree

Five or more years of sales experience

Strong knowledge of company product line

Outstanding sales, negotiation and customer service skills

Strong communications and relationship building skills

Ability to work effectively with Regional Managers, Inside Sales, Credit, Quality and others internally to resolve customer issues / meet customer needs

Demonstrated safety awareness and commitment

Preferred Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree

Eight to ten years’ sales experience
