About this Role

As a Communications Associate at the Economic Growth Center (EGC), you will advance strategic communications to ensure that significant policy-relevant research reaches diverse audiences. Your role will involve managing and promoting research on topics such as gender, climate change, and economic inclusion. In this position, you will manage the EGC’s website, design materials for a variety of platforms, and support both digital and in-person events. A key component of the role involves developing and executing comprehensive communication strategies to present complex research in an accessible and engaging manner for a general audience. This includes drafting social media content, editing videos, designing print and digital collateral, and organizing events. Candidates with a strong background in communication, a keen interest in development economics, and website management skills are highly suitable for this role.
Responsibilities
Manage and update website content with new publications and policy briefs
Develop and execute social media strategies across various platforms
Edit and publish multimedia content and short videos for online dissemination
Coordinate in-person, hybrid, and virtual events and conferences
Develop communication materials in compliance with Yale’s brand guidelines
Liaise with influencers and track communication metrics to enhance engagement
Requirements
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
Experience with social media campaigns and audience growth
Proficient in graphic and website design tools such as Drupal or Adobe
Strong project management skills, preferably with tools like Asana
Interpersonal skills to interact with a diverse range of stakeholders
