KRGV Channel 5 News is looking for a talented Studio Camera/Teleprompter Operator to join our team. The role requires operating studio cameras and teleprompter systems during newscasts, maintaining equipment, and ensuring smooth production under tight deadlines.

This is a

Part Time

position. Availability for rotating shifts—including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays—is required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Keep studio equipment working properly.

Monitor and follow production shoot schedules.

Prepare microphones for anchors, change lamps for light fixtures, and clean the studios.

Safely operate ladders and personnel lifts.

Review rundown with directors and producers.

Listen and respond quickly to directions.

Communicate via internal communication headsets with directors and producers.

Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

Excellent visual and eye-hand coordination.

Excellent communication skills.

Attention to detail and commitment to excellence.

Ability to work in a fast paced environment.

Physical strength to carry equipment.

Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods.

Ability to set up and operate teleprompting systems, including computer device controls and newsroom computer system.

Ability to work on rotating shifts—mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Ability to collaborate in a team environment.
