Donut Artisan-Overnight Shift-Richmond

Position Summary

Lee’s Marketplace is seeking a Donut Artisan to create high-quality artisanal donuts, work early morning/overnight hours, and maintain a fast-paced kitchen environment while ensuring precision and care in donut production.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Assist in production, frying, decorating, packaging, and maintenance of donuts per recipes and quality standards.
Display and restock donuts, ensuring shelves are stocked, rotated, and cleaned.
Maintain accurate food inventories and process orders both digitally and in person.
Greet and assist guests, answer inquiries, and promote excellent guest service.
Control product freshness, comply with recipe guidelines, and assist with packaging and labeling.
Keep work area clean and follow safety and sanitation procedures; report hazards.
Operate cash registers and handle transactions accurately, if applicable.
Collaborate with team members, attend meetings, and support other departments as needed.
Requirements

Age 18+.
Food Handler’s Permit required (can be obtained after hire).
Availability 2:00am-10:00am any day Monday‑Sunday, including weekends and holidays.
Physical Requirements

Stand, walk, twist, sit, and bend for extended periods.
Lift and carry up to 50 lb; manual dexterity required.
Repetitive use of hands and arms, including pushing, pulling, and reaching.
Occasionally stoop, crouch, kneel, or crawl; use of step stools or ladders when needed.
Tools and Equipment

Commercial mixers, fryers, ovens, slicers/knives, wrapping machine, scales, sheeters, etc.
Computers, phones, and other items as required for the role.
Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
Previous retail, guest service, or specialty cheese experience preferred.
Skills and Abilities

Effective verbal and written communication.
Fast‑paced work and basic math skills for handling cash.
Ability to read and follow instructions and operate cooking machinery.
