Content Director
Filevine is seeking a Content Director to own the voice, strategy, and output that establishes Filevine as the authoritative brand in legal AI. This hands‑on leadership role involves setting editorial direction, managing content strategy tied to business outcomes, and leading staff copywriters and contractors. The ideal candidate brings editorial judgment, AI fluency, and operational discipline to produce content that earns attention and drives pipeline.
Location
Charleston, WV. Remote. Hybrid or remote with in‑person collaboration for key milestones, campaigns, and events. Location flexibility for exceptional candidates.

Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute Filevine's content strategy across blog, thought leadership, case studies, research reports, email, social, and sales enablement.
- Build and manage the content calendar aligned with campaign priorities, product launches, demand gen timelines, and key moments in legal AI.
- Develop and steward Filevine's editorial voice to be authoritative, distinct, and human across all channels.
- Establish Filevine as the go‑to voice in legal AI through product launches, customer wins, and company moments.
- Develop thought leadership for Filevine and executives in legal technology and AI.
- Partner with Product Marketing, Demand Gen, and Sales to create content that moves buyers through the funnel.
Lead the Team
- Directly manage staff copywriters with clear editorial direction, feedback, and growth paths.
- Set quality standards and build workflows for excellent work without burnout.
- Build and manage a network of freelance writers, subject matter contributors, and content specialists.
- Cultivate a team culture of craft, experimentation, and deadline accountability.
Drive Performance and Operations
- Track content performance using data to inform editorial decisions and report on pipeline and brand awareness.
- Optimize content for AEO/SEO/GEO to earn visibility where legal professionals search.
- Lead content repurposing and distribution strategy.
- Implement editorial workflows and tooling for full content pipeline visibility.
- Integrate AI writing and production tools thoughtfully to accelerate output without compromising voice or accuracy.
Qualifications
Required- 8+ years in content marketing, copywriting, or editorial roles with high‑quality B2B tech content at volume.
- Genuine writing background as a copywriter or content writer.
- Experience owning content strategy and editorial calendar in fast‑moving B2B SaaS or tech.
- Proven ability to manage and develop writers with direct, constructive editorial style.
- Strong understanding of SEO fundamentals.
- Working knowledge of AEO/GEO/AI‑driven discovery.
- Practical fluency with AI content tools.
- Data‑informed editorial instincts.Strong portfolio of B2B content (include writing samples or link).
- Experience in legal technology, legal services, or professional services.
- JD or legal background.
- Experience creating executive thought leadership content, including ghostwriting.
- Familiarity with social‑first content strategy, especially LinkedIn in B2B.
Compensation
Base Salary Range: $170,000–$210,000. Total compensation determined by location, qualifications, education, experience, skills, and performance. Includes paid time off and comprehensive benefits.
