Position Overview

Are you energized by leading teams in building a game from the ground up and guiding them through every phase of development? If so, Zynga, one of the largest and most innovative mobile game development studios, is seeking a passionate, motivated and expert Executive Producer to join our team of highly skilled professionals who are dedicated to pushing the boundaries of mobile gaming.
This is a unique production leadership role that requires the right instincts, skills and mindset to help shape a game from its earliest stages and the operational skills to lead a team through each step of development, from early concept and prototyping through production, launch, and live operations. The EP will be the production anchor, working closely with creative and technical leaders to guide and motivate the team and cultivate a positive team culture throughout the journey.
The ideal candidate is a decisive leader, a clear communicator, and a skilled collaborator who is equally comfortable leading early concepts and prototypes with a small team as they are guiding a large team through the rigors and complexities of a live game. Ultimately, this candidate will be an outstanding problem solver and communicator who is not afraid to roll up their sleeves and be hands‑on at any phase of development from early iteration to high‑level strategic planning, team building, cross‑functional alignment and career coaching.
What You’ll Do
- Take a pragmatic, results‑oriented approach to project management, prioritizing flexibility and continuous iteration.
- Work with key reports to create an organizational structure, processes, and project plan that allow the team to produce high‑quality work efficiently on time and on budget.
- Collaborate with multiple teams to proactively get results and outcomes.
- Passionately articulate goals and team principles to help form a stimulating and fun work environment and culture.
- Identify and help guide the team around potential hazards that come up through the game development process.
- Define and implement best practices, ensuring clear communication across the team and with other production leaders to set organizational standards.
- Help the game team navigate all stages of the development process.
- Help build and strengthen communication between teams and locations.
- Own product quality and be the player advocate for the team.
- Coordinate and conduct post‑mortems and retrospectives to foster continuous learning and improvement.
- Effectively communicate the core experience of the game to other parts of the Zynga organization, and help ensure that the product leverages the ideas and resources of the larger organization.
What You Bring
- 10+ years of experience leading and guiding multidisciplinary teams through all stages of development, with at least 2 games shipped as Executive Producer, Development Director or Game Director. Mobile experience preferred.
- Proven ability to lead multi‑disciplinary teams to create and grow great games.
- Strong understanding of successful game titles, foundational mechanics and live‑service models.
- Extensive knowledge of and fluency in the game development process, from concept through live operations.
- Able to motivate, support and guide others to attain successful outcomes and business objectives.
- Experience with various project management tools (Jira is a plus).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Strong analytical skills, along with a keen attention to detail.
- Flexibility and adaptability are key.
- The position reports directly to the Divisional EP for the organization.
Benefits
Zynga offers a world‑class benefits package. The pay range for this position in California is expected to be between $190,000 and $235,000 USD per year. In Illinois, the expected range is between $170,000 and $220,000 USD per year. Compensation may vary based on location, individual qualifications and other objective business considerations. The total compensation package may also include a bonus, equity awards and eligibility to participate in a 401(k) plan and Employee Stock Purchase Program.
Full‑time employees are eligible for medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, 14 paid holidays per calendar year, paid vacation time ranging from 15 to 25 days (or discretionary time off), up to 10 paid sick days per year, paid parental and compassionate leave, wellbeing programs, family planning support, commuter benefits, and reimbursements for fitness‑related expenses.
