The Opportunity
As a Lifecycle / Retention Manager (Braze) at Moonshot, you’ll own Braze end‑to‑end (email, push, in‑app messaging, segmentation, journeys, and reactivation) and drive in‑app retention efforts (promotions, loyalty rewards, daily missions, etc). Experience in sports betting, crypto, consumer apps, or trading environments is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

Own all lifecycle messaging in Braze (email, push, in‑app, inbox)

Build and maintain automated onboarding, retention, and win‑back flows

Create dynamic segmentation and triggered journeys

Set up and monitor promotions and targeted incentives

Own and grow loyalty and retention efforts across the in‑app user experience

Run A/B tests and weekly lifecycle experiments

Track activation → retention → reactivation KPIs and report learnings

Analyze customer behavior, retention metrics, and cohort lifetime value to identify insights and opportunities to help drive growth strategy

What We Look For in You

3+ years in Lifecycle / CRM / Retention for a consumer app

Hands‑on proficiency in Braze (canvas, segmentation, etc.)

Familiarity with consumer app promotion design, fulfillment, and ROI analysis

Experience moving metrics, not just sending messages

Strong short‑form copy instincts (mobile‑first)

Comfort using data to inform decisions

Nice to Haves

Crypto / trading / sportsbook / DFS experience

Understanding of trader psychology, incentives, and habit loops

Location

NYC preferred (will have to travel for in‑person sprints)
